I recently went to a wedding where the signature drink was Bombay Sapphire. The couple met many years ago and it was the first drink they had together. I love how their story can be shared through an object and celebrated by all their guests.
I painted "Bombay Sapphire" with it's crystal blue bottle to honor the fond memories it evokes. It's imbued with my hopes and dreams for the happy couple, with the laughter and warmth of their wedding and to raise a cheers for many years of adventure together.

Artist Bio
Katherine Warburton is an emerging Australian Artist based rurally in Gordon, Victoria. Winner of the Grand Prize in Trenthams Art Exhibition in 2017. Katherine is a member of the Woodend Art Group, is a regular in the regional art scene, Artist-in-Residence at MicKat Studio and selected works can also be found at The Little Gallery, Trentham. I have Autism, a condition that I struggle with everyday. Although I have sensory issues, it is perhaps this unique way of experiencing the world that influences my work the most. Art has had such a positive impact on my life. It has enabled me to make friends, become a part of a community and to gain confidence in myself. My local art community is a very supportive and accepting one.
In 2012, my husband and I left the bustling city for a slow paced life on his late Grandfather's farm in the country town of Gordon. Where we set up a small studio which backs onto the Wombat Forest. Roos , wombats and native birds visit my studio and provide endless inspiration for my art. I hope to create art that makes people happy, so here I sit, paintbrush in hand, dreaming about what I'll paint next
