The Naïve
Naïve art is a manifestation of raw creativity. The genre is characterised by a seemingly simplistic approach that is uninhibited and instinctive to the composition and ideas. . Notable artists that were considered the first to experiment with the childlike theme include Henri Rousseau, André Bauchant and Alfred Wallis and were heavily influenced by Primitivism. . Modern Naive artists have had their work sometimes described as the modern primitive. Currently, we are seeing a rise in the rejection of the traditional art forms and rise in Naive methods.
