The cool and persistent winter rain that falls over Kanamaluka (Tamar River) transforms the bush into a rich and dense landscape. As I meander through the lomandra the strands brush past me and droplets of water dampen my legs. My immersion here connects me to the land and allows me to observe the forms and structures of this beautiful and complex environment This work examines the textures, stories & pneuma of the Tasmanian landscape. I am fascinated by this place and the stories it holds. The more time spent here the landscape reveals itself beyond the aesthetic. . ~ Painted on 100% cotton archival paper ~ Framed in float mount style ~ Natural Tasmanian oak exterior frame ~ Ready to hang ~ Anti-reflective art glass
